Hello wonderful, gorgeous, fantastic people!
Here is the weekly update. :]
Starting today I will be posting all the announcements, or at least most of them, sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. It's just easier for me to gather all the information. Unfortunately this update will be somewhat rough. Details will probably be missing and I apologize. NOW, if you would like to include any announcements on this blog please email me! Send me an email containing the who, what, where, why and when and I will post it on here. Email is annieyaya92@gmail.com
During the meeting last week we had an interesting game of bingo. It was no ordinary bingo game. It was PEOPLE BINGO! (Whoever was the first to hand in their completed BINGO sheet to Amanda received a free movie ticket to the Dollar Theater Movie Night.) To all those who attended Movie Night @ The Dollar Theater, I hope you had fun. I sure did.
And now for the announcements :]

Trans Day Remembrance is... TODAY!!!
TAG TEAM, Irvine Queers, and other community resources, members, and allies will gather at the anteater steps for a night of education, speakers, a candlelight vigil, and a speakout. Those who complete their bingo card by visiting all of the tables will receive a free raffle ticket!
The Transgender Day of Remembrance is a national day set aside to memorialize those have been victims of transphobic violence. This year, our event hopes to call attention to the multiple forms of violence that affect the lives of gender-variant individuals. This includes the violence of language, state-sanctioned violence, and interpersonal physical violence, as well as other forms of violence. Our event also hopes to emphasize the intersectionality of transgender identity, and therefore the different forms of violence that gender variant individuals face depending on their unique experiences.

Club Q
Thanks so much to all who came out to Club Q! I hope you had a blast. And for those who didn't make it out, hopefully you can make it to next quarter's. This quarter's halloween Club Q was themed after Michael Jackson's "Thriller," complete with a zombie makeup station and DIY qu people. (The qu person happens to be on facebook, if you'd like to friend them!) I had a great time dancing with some that I've seen around Club Q, as well as some new faces:) Hopefully I'll get to talk to more of you as the year progresses!
I'd like to give an extra shout out to:
IQ board
UCI dining
EDU
Blake Soderstrom
Meg Malm (aka MC sMEGma)
Anabelle- for the lovely qu person poster
Everyone who helped set up and clean up-thank you!
What did you like about Club Q? Anything you'd like to see at the next one? Voice your opinion! Talk to a board member or shoot an email to irvine.queers@gmail.com
